What types of products do you offer?

Y'all we have got a little somethin' for everybody around here. Our Stitches & Such collection is full of handcrafted crochet pieces — whimsical characters, charming keepsakes, and cozy creations that bring warmth and personality to every corner of your home. Threaded Charms is where you will find our handcrafted sewn goods — customizable pouches, structured bags, pillows, cornhole sets, and memory pieces built for everyday life with a whole lot of Southern heart. And then there is For the Fellas — our bold handcrafted underwear collection made with love, stitched with pride, and named with absolutely zero apology. Whatever brings you here honey, we have got somethin' handmade just for you.

Are your items really handmade?

Yes ma'am and yes sir — every single piece that leaves The Otter Half was made by these two hands, one stitch at a time. No factories, no shortcuts, no mass production of any kind. Because each item is crafted individually, no two pieces are ever exactly alike — and that right there is the whole point. Every piece has its own character, its own little story, and its own special somethin' that makes it uniquely yours. Around here we believe the best things in life take time — and we hope you can feel that in every stitch.

Do you take custom or personalized orders?

Absolutely — and honestly custom orders are one of our favorite things we do. Just head on over to our custom orders page, fill out the form with the item you would like, your fabric or yarn choices, and any special notes that will help us make it perfectly yours. We will reach out personally to confirm every detail before a single stitch is made, because gettin' it right matters more than gettin' it done fast. Once your piece is finished and ready to go we will send you a secure QuickBooks invoice — and as soon as payment is received your order gets wrapped with care and shipped straight from our front porch to yours.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Most ready made orders ship out within 3 to 5 business days — we like to move with a purpose around here! Custom orders may take a little longer dependin' on the details and complexity of your piece, but we will always keep you in the loop every step of the way. You will never be left wonderin' where your order is — we promise to communicate clearly and send tracking information as soon as your package is headed your way.

Where do you ship?

We ship to all 50 states so no matter where you call home — big city or way out in the country — we will make sure your order finds its way right to your front door. Every single package is packed up with the same care and love we put into makin' it, because as far as we are concerned we are sendin' it to family. Tracking information will be sent as soon as your order is on the move.

Can I return or exchange an item?

At The Otter Half every piece is made with love and we want you to absolutely adore what you receive. Here is how we handle returns and exchanges:

Custom Crochet & Sewn Goods — Since these pieces are made from our own supply we are happy to accept returns or exchanges within 7 days of delivery if the item is not quite what you hoped for. Items must be unused and in their original condition.

For the Fellas — Custom jockstraps are made specifically to your measurements and preferences and cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a defect. We hope you understand — these are made just for you honey.

Ready Made Items — Ready made pieces may be returned or exchanged within 7 days of delivery as long as they are unused, unwashed, and in their original condition.

Defects or Issues — If your order arrives damaged or with a defect please reach out within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we will make it right — no questions asked.

Return Shipping — Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the return is due to damage or an error on our end.

How do I care for my handmade item?

Every handmade piece deserves a little extra love and the right care will keep yours lookin' beautiful for years to come.

Crochet pieces — We recommend spot cleaning or a gentle hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry to help them keep their shape and stitchin' intact.

Sewn goods — Machine wash on a delicate cycle in cold water. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry if you want them to last as long as possible — and trust us, you will.

Every order includes care instructions so you will always know exactly how to love on your piece. And if you ever have questions do not be shy — just holler and we will be glad to help.

Do you offer gift wrapping or handwritten notes?

We sure do — and honestly it is one of our favorite little extras to offer! Whether you are celebratin' a birthday, a holiday, or just wantin' to remind somebody that they are loved and thought of, we will wrap your order up with care and tuck in a sweet handwritten note just for them. Just let us know the occasion at checkout and we will take care of the rest. Because sometimes the smallest touches honey — leave the very biggest impressions.
